About

How we work

We supply grade one gum arabic, the gum of Acacia senegal, from Sudan to supplement, drink and food manufacturers in the UK. Whole nodules, kibbled gum or milled powder, quoted from a single 25 kg bag up to pallet lots, with a specification sheet and batch documentation.

Why we quote small orders

The established gum houses are built for pallets and containers. A brand that needs 100 kg for a production trial is uneconomic for them to serve, so the enquiry goes unanswered or comes back with a minimum of a tonne. That is the gap we are here for. We quote a single bag with the same seriousness as a pallet, because that first trial is how a supplier relationship starts.

How we buy

We buy at origin rather than through a UK distributor. Most gum arabic reaches Britain through a chain of exporters and processors, and each link adds cost and loses information about where the gum came from. Buying closer to the source means we can answer questions about origin and grade rather than passing them up the chain.

What we will not claim

We are a new business and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. We hold no food safety or halal certification of our own today, and we will not put a logo on this site suggesting we do. If your quality process needs documentation we cannot provide, we will tell you before you commit rather than after. We would rather lose an order than promise a specification we cannot stand behind.

We also do not publish a price per kilo, because gum arabic is a crop and the price moves with the harvest, the grade and the quantity. See how we quote for what that means in practice.
